Green & Gold for Owens?
The Journal Sentinel brought up the question of Green Bay signing Terrell Owens. Lord, let’s hope it doesn’t ever come to that. I guess I can, in my worst nightmares, see a desperate Ted Thompson leaping off that cliff, but I don’t think he’s sunk that low. Sure, T.O. would add some fire to the offense, at least he’d draw coverage away from Driver, but the consequences for team morale would be dire indeed. It might be amusing, though, to see Owens try and cope with living in Green Bay. If released he’d come for the dough, I’m sure, but he’d be calling Drew Rosenhaus every day screaming, “Get me out of here!”
