Marquette Coasts Past Hornets

The Golden Eagles extended their winning streak to three games with an easy 60-48 victory over Delaware State last night. Marquette scored 13 unanswered points at the end of the first half to take a 35-21 lead and the Hornets were unable to respond in the second half. Matthews led the Golden Eagles with 12 points, while James and McNeal both scored 10. Marquette hosts Division II Lewis on Dec. 28 before opening its first Big East season against #2 Connecticut.
