Javon Walks Away From Rosenhaus

Not sure why it took so long, but Javon Walker cut his ties with Drew Rosenhaus yesterday.

I’m sure you remember the story, Walker hired the uber-agent back in February to renegotiate his contract with the Packers and later threatened to hold out of training camp if a new deal wasn’t signed. Eventually, though, he did come to camp — after a little cajoling by Brett Favre — but was injured in the first regular season game against the Lions, missing the rest of the season.

So why the switch? I think Walker still has hopes of getting a new deal once he recovers from the ACL injury and realized that the Packers, Ted Thompson in particular, are not going to be bullied into giving it to him. Plus, I bet seeing his name associated with the whole Terrell Owens - Philly soap opera hasn’t exactly been pleasant. Bully for you, Javon. Get healthy and come back soon. We need you.
