Tice Done At The Dome

The Minnesota Vikings bid an abrupt adios to Mike Tice today, firing the head coach shortly after the team defeated the Bears 34-10. While the timing of the announcement is a little questionable, I doubt the news comes as a shock to anyone. Tice led the team through four mediocre years that included one playoff appearance last season when the 8-8 Vikes backed into the post season. His tenure as longboat captain also included the whole Randy Ratio debacle, a $100,000 fine from the league for scalping his Super Bowl tickets, and this season’s Minnetonka Love Boat incident. So long, Joe Rockhead.
