Wisconsin Powers Past Ohio State

The Badgers scored up a big upset last night, beating #12 Ohio State 78-73 at the Kohl Center. Alando Tucker played a brilliant game, recording a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Brian Butch scored 17 and Ray Nixon pumped in 13 more. UW was down by 10 in the first half but steadily closed the gap after halftime, taking the lead on a 7-0 run late in the game. Butch hit a three-pointer to put the Badgers up by four, sealing the game with 1:46 remaining. The win extends Wisconsin’s current streak to three, their second over a ranked team over that span, and puts them in second place in the Big 10 behind Iowa with an 8-4 conference record. The Badgers travel to Northwestern (12-11, 4-7 Big 10) next Thursday.
