Bollinger Gets A Horned Helmet
According to reports from ESPN and the St. Paul Pioneer Press, former Badgers quarterback Brooks Bollinger will be calling Minnesota home this football season. The Vikings traded defensive tackle CJ Mosley and a draft pick to the Jets to get the fourth-year veteran backup. Apparently coach Brad Childress wanted someone not named Mike McMahon with some NFL game experience to back up moribund starter Brad Johnson. Bollinger has played in 11 games and has started nine. Minnesota’s other backups in camp were rookie Tavaris Jackson, a second-round draft pick, and JT O’Sullivan, who had a few cups of coffee in Green Bay a two seasons ago.
While I’m sure he’s happy to have a job, Bollinger can’t be too thrilled about wearing on of those ugly-assed new Vikings uniforms.
