Grease For Their Tank Treads?
This weekend while the Badgers are trying to get back their mojo against Penn State, the alma mater Iowa State will be hosting Texas at Jack Trice Stadium. The lowly Cyclones are 1-5 this year with the single win coming against the Iowa Hawkeyes (cue Nelson: “Ha Ha!”), so it’s not hard to imagine the Longhorns will roll right through Ames like a Panzer division cutting across Belgium.
On the other hand, UT is not the national championship team they were a couple years ago. The Horns have lost two in a row to K-State and Oklahoma with Colt McCoy throwing 10 interceptions so far this year. If Texas coughs up the ball a bunch of times at Jack Trice and if Gene Chizik can squeeze just enough out of the Iowa State offense, could we have another huge upset in the making?
Probably not, but it was fun to think about for a couple minutes.
