Bratwurst From Chippewa Falls?
I got a question from a reader today about brats, and there’s no topic I like better than sausage next to Packers football and beer. Anyway, Bob writes:
I usually order brats from a maker in Chippewa Falls. They were recommended to me as the best brats in Wisconsin. I lost the card with the name and address on it and would like to have them ship some brats back to Connecticut for a party Thanksgiving day. Is it possible that you might be able to help me get this information?
Unfortunately I don’t know of any bratwurst makers in Chippewa Falls that ship sausage, and a quick Google search doesn’t provide much more info. So I leave it to any other readers or random visitors: If you know of a place in Chippewa Falls to get good brats, please leave it in the comments and I’ll get the info back to Bob. (And I’d like to know too; I’m always ready to try new brats.)

You might be thinking of Gutknecht’s Market, a great family-owned grocery store famous for its homemade hot dogs and brats. Alas, Gutknecht’s has gone out of business.

Unless you have satellite television, folks in Chippewa Falls (actually any place besides Green Bay and Milwaukee areas) won’t be able to see the November 29th Packers-Dallas game. If any of you are frustrated that your cable company isn’t offering you NFL Network, it looks like some legislators are joining the cause -

A valid point — though a bit off the topic.
