Packers Injury Situation Looking Better

Following today’s practice, the Green Bay roster is looking a little more healthy than it was earlier in the week.

Safety Nick Collins participated fully and looks ready to make his first start Thursday in Dallas since the Kansas City game three weeks ago. Greg Bedard also reports in the Journal Sentinel Packers Blog that Mark Tauscher and Ryan Grant are looking good to go against the Cowboys, while Will Blackmon could also be ready.

Still up in the air is the status of KGB, who injured his knee on Thanksgiving; Kabeer took part in practice but was limited and is considered questionable for the big game in Big D. Also questionable is Charles Woodson, but considering he had to leave the game last week I’ll take it as a good sign he’ll be able to play on Thursday.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Bubba Franks won’t be ready to play for another week. The Packer offense will have to make due once again with Donald Lee as the featured tight end with some support from Ryan Krause in two TE sets.

You would still rather see Bubba instead of Lee? Bubba has always been prone to dropsies and penalties at the worst possible times.
