Whitewater Gets It Done
Congratulations to UW-Whitewater for winning the NCAA Division III football championship over the weekend. The Warhawks have faced Mount Union the past three years in the Stagg Bowl and this year they managed to beat the Purple Raiders 31-21.
Senior running back Justin Beaver had quite the game, rushing for 249 yards and a touchdown. I heard him interviewed on ESPN today and they asked what his future might hold in the NFL and which team he’d like to play for. The native of Palmyra, WI, expectedly answered, “the Packers.”
We’ll have to see what Ted Thompson thinks come April.
