Bad Day In Dallas? Better Go To Luby’s

Big props to the Philadelphia Eagles for playing tough defense all afternoon and scoring just enough to hang a second loss on the Cowboys. Now we just need the Redskins to play for pride in the final weekend of football and Green Bay could be hosting throughout the playoffs.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips is hungry

My brother whipped up this funny picture in honor of the Cowboys loss. For the uninitiated, Luby’s is a chain of all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants here in Texas.

By now I’m sure all Packer fans have heard about the Dallas Cowboys loss last week to the Philadelphia Eagles and the supposed Jessica Simpson effect.

The Cowboys lost 10-6 to the Eagles in which Dallas QB Tony Romo had what was statistically the worst game of his career while girlfriend Simpson sat in a luxury box wearing a pink #9 jersey she proudly showed off for television cameras.

The problem for her is, Romo’s previous worst game came last December at home to the Eagles when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in attendance.

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens sees a connection.

“With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away,” Owens said, echoing the chatter on sports-talk radio and blogs. “Other than that, she was high on my list until last week.” Asked if he had a message for Jessica, Owens added, “Oh, I got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned.”

How about this idea: If the Packers and the Cowboys meet in postseason play, some Green Bay friendly company should print-up a crapload of Jessica Simpson masks for all of our fans to wear at the game.

    Now that’s ’schtick!’

    Go Pack!
