Bring On The Giants
If someone had said at the beginning of the season that the Packers would be hosting the NFC Championship game in January, how quickly would you have called the men in white coats?
Congratualtions to the New Yawk Football Giants for their win in Dallas to eliminate the Cowboys from the post-season. The ‘Boys hadn’t been playing very good football down the stretch so I figured it would be close, but New York played a great game of rope-a-dope to gas Dallas in the first three quarters, allowing the defense to finally get pressure on Tony Romo during the final period.
Credit Eli Manning, though, for not throwing any picks or doing anything else to cost his team the win. The Giants got some big plays when needed and otherwise played a pretty conservative game.
We’ll have to see what kind of shape New York is in — they had a lot of injuries, especially on defense — but there couldn’t be a better situation for the Packers than to have the Giants coming to Lambeau Field for the title game. I doubt it’ll be a blowout like the Seattle game, but there are too many weapons for Favre to draw on for New York to cover them all.

Get ready for the Giants apologists to start explaining how their Week 2 loss didn’t count because the season hadn’t really started yet…

Being a New Yorker, this game makes me more nervous than usual, since if the ‘Aints manage to win, we have to have another 2 weeks of all blue all the time. That said, they are a little scary in that though not a great team, they have found a way to win consistently down the stretch, and Eli has actually played like a number one at times. However since he has played well in so many games, to me it just means that it is about time for him to S*?T the bed soon.

Somebody needs to dig up video of KGB saying that the Pack was going to the Super Bowl. I remember that being played either in pre-season or before opening day.
