Corey Williams Is The New Najeh Davenport
Did Corey Williams take a crap in someone’s laundry basket like our former running back once did? No, but he did crap on his former team in the style of Najeh Davenport.
Greg Bedard posts at the JS Packer Blog that Williams told a press conference in Cleveland he wanted out of Green Bay and that he was glad to be with the Browns, a team he called “up and coming.” Just a few weeks ago Williams was singing a different tune, telling anyone who would listen that he loved being with the Packers.
Granted, this isn’t quite as bad as Davenport comparing Green Bay with communist Russia where all focus is on work and no one is allowed to have fun, but still why the total change of heart, Corey? If you’re upset with how the contract thing went, just say that, don’t take it out on the team. Oh well, I guess it’s best he’s gone.
Speaking of that “up and coming” Browns team, Phil Savage yesterday gave away his third-round draft pick to sign Shaun Rogers away from the Lions and then they signed Dante Stallworth to a seven-year, $35 million contract. Talk about mortgaging the farm.
