Brats & Beer At SXSW
We interrupt this sports blog with a post about music. The missus and I took in some of the free events this weekend at SXSW here in Austin. We didn’t have any brats but we did have some beer and saw some alright bands.
The highlight of the weekend, though, was seeing The Breeders playing at Waterloo Park last night. Kim and Kelley Deal and the rest of the band were in fine form playing material from their upcoming Mountain Battles, plus they did a good number of older songs from Last Splash and even a couple from Pacer by Kim’s side project The Amps.
