Beer Crisis
There’s an awful lot of bad economic news out there, but a story today in the LaCrosse Tribune made me especially sad. Apparently there is a worldwide shortage of hops and prices are expected to remain high for the foreseeable future.
Forget about rising energy costs, the collapsing credit and housing markets, and declining stocks, the nation’s brewers are in trouble and that hits all of us where it counts: right in the beer belly. It’s about time we start asking the candidates what they plan to do about this hops crisis. We need action, people.
