And There’s Your Final Retirement Story
The Journal Sentinel reports this afternoon on its blog the Packers have placed Brett Favre on the reserve/retired list. This clears an extra roster space and salary cap room just before the draft. Despite whatever coy replies Favre may give to questions from here on out, and despite the fact he has yet to file the official paperwork, he is out of the league and would need to petition the commissioner to get back in.
Hopefully this act, and a successful draft by the Packers, will finally end the media circus churning up Favre comeback stories. But it probably won’t.
