Around The Bloghorn: As The Favre Turns Edition
The Green & Gold blogosphere has been alive and buzzing all day in the wake of Brett Favre’s “On The Record” appearance with Greta Van Susteren last night. Here’s a sample of links to some of the opinions floating around out there in the electronic ether:
- Cheesehead TV thought the interview was a train wreck, calls the Favre era “over,” and leaves us with a cheerful item on problems with the D-line just to brighten our day.
- Favre looked uncomfortable and fidgety says The Fontenot, who is looking forward to Ted Thomspon having two first round picks next year. Mr. Man at Camp Lambeau was himself slightly pained during the interview and thinks more of Favre when he doesn’t talk so much.
- The packergeeks clinically dissect the inconsistencies in Favre’s story, while BeerKid at Packer Palace just wants to know when Favre went off his medication.
- E-FUCKING-NOUGH! — title says it all at Load the Wagon.
- Casey at The Frozen Tundra didn’t think the interview shed any new light on the situation in Green Bay, but knows he just wants Favre back. Acme Packing Company also wants both sides to work out their differences so Favre can come back, but says there’s little optimism for that to happen.
- Among the patrons at The Wisconsin Sports Bar, some would bring Favre back, some question that line of reasoning, and some just want their $8 back for that special Favre retirement edition of Sports Illustrated.
More fun is in store tonight at 9 pm CST when FOX News airs the second part of Van Susteren’s interview with Brett Favre. Don’t miss it!
