Ray Nitschke House Party

I'm not sure Nitschke would approve
If you’re taking a road trip to Green Bay this Fall to party with the locals on gameday, you might want to check out the Nitschke House. For just $22 a person, you can tailgate with other Packer fans across the street from Lambeau Field, food and drinks included. You can watch the game on a big screen TV for just $40, and for the big spenders out there a weekend stay at the house is just $1,200.
The private home just north of the stadium is owned by Ray Nitschke’s daughter, Amy Klass, and her husband. They bought the place recently and have been renovating it in time for the regular season. According to an article in the Press-Gazette, some in the neighborhood aren’t too keen on the idea of people renting out their homes as Packer party palaces, but one resident says, “This entire street turns into a tailgating party on game days anyway, so it doesn’t really matter.”

Interesting concept. I grew up with Amy; her dad scared the shit out of me one time when I neary bumped into him at the entrance to the animal hospital in Howard…

Make that “nearly” instead of “neary.”

An illegal operation. No hotel or rooming house license, no liquor or beer license, no restaurant license, and in violation of local zoning codes, and - of course - no inspection.
Should be shut down as a public nuisance.

The Nitschke House Party is a joy that takes place on a few Sunday’s during the year! Fans talk about life and the Pack. They all come together to cheer for their team as a team. What an incredible feeling to share with all who proudly wear the Green & Gold! There are not much greater experiences than sharing an outing with friends and fans in the great city of Green Bay. My hat is off to Amy and her husband for recreating Ray’s love of the game and sharing w/ his many adoring fans!!!
God bless,
Steve
