How Quickly They Turn
You saw this coming a mile away: Immediately after the Packers first loss of 2008, more than a few callers to the post-game radio show on WTMJ were quick to say that had Brett Favre been on the field last night Green Bay obviously would have won the game. Apparently the Rodgers haters have already forgotten how Favre handled that same pass rush last year.
It is true that Aaron Rodgers didn’t have his best outing Sunday night. More than a few of his passes were thrown high, but usually he was under duress in those situations, and he also seemed to lock on to Jordy Nelson for some reason late in the game. But on the other hand, Rodgers didn’t have any interceptions (a couple were nearly, though) and he didn’t do anything else that put the offense at a disadvantage. In fact, despite the fact that he was under pressure most of the night, Rodgers seemed cool and collected — “Charles Bronson cool” according to Bobby O’Shea — the entire game.
We fans should be smarter than to judge a player based on a single game, neither anointing him king nor calling for his benching.

I totally agree with what you are saying. There is no way someone can say that we would have for sure won the game if Favre was still on the team. I actually think we would have lost by even more. Favre has never played well against the Cowboys and I doubt it would have been different in this game. Favre probably would have thrown several INTs since he always made mistakes when he was pressured. In my opinion the Packers had a better chance losing by even more if we had Favre than actually winning the game. The main reason we lost last night was we didn’t do well in the running game and our offensive line couldn’t block anyone. Unless Favre can suddenly throw and block at the same time I can’t see how Favre would have handled it any better.
