No News Is … No News

There’s been no official word yet on the condition of Al Harris and what impact that will have on the Packers, but the team is supposed to find out today the results of additional tests that were conducted. Hopefully we’ll know soon how serious his injury is and how long he’ll be out of action.

I’m wondering, too, if Ted Thompson will have any other roster news to announce in the coming days. If Harris did suffer a ruptured spleen as has been reported and needs to be put on IR, will the Packers bring in another player to fill the open spot on the roster? An additional DB for depth would be the most obvious move, but TT might also be looking at adding a lineman for the defensive interior.

I’m not expecting any sort of earth-shattering trade here, but the Packers are thin at both those positions and could use an additional player. And let’s remember that Ryan Grant seemed like just an another body for backfield depth when he was traded from the Giants.
