So what do we have on tap this week in the battle between Green Bay and Tampa Bay? A meeting between former division rivals, both coming off playoff seasons with designs on repeating, each of them with a 2-1 record and fighting to hold on to their lead in their respective divisions. Yes, I’m completely [...]

I hate to take issue once again with the SportsBubbler’s Gridiron Girl, especially after her post on the Lingerie Football League, but, well, I have to take issue with her latest entry entitled “Green Bay needs a Diva!” Her point?
I just feel like we need someone who is exciting to watch, and who can get [...]
No, I’m not posting about lowlifes hanging around school playgrounds pushing cans of suds on teenagers, but rather a new bicycle that I’m sure the packergeeks might be excited to hear about. Traitor Cycles of Washington introduced its latest models at Interbike, including a limited edition Pabst Blue Ribbon bike. Only 75 will be made [...]
With all the news about spleens the past few days I haven’t yet written anything on this week’s opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it’s high time I did because there is much to say.
Outside of the Bears and Vikings, there’s not an NFL franchise I despise more than the Bucs; old NFC Central rivalries [...]

Now I’m no doctor, and no I don’t even play one on this blog, but when I hear that someone has suffered a ruptured spleen due to blunt force trauma, I’m thinking that most real doctors would advise their patient to avoid any situation where they may encounter more blunt force trauma. There’s been no official word yet on the condition of Al Harris and what impact that will have on the Packers, but the team is supposed to find out today the results of additional tests that were conducted. Hopefully we’ll know soon how serious his injury is and how long he’ll be out of action.
I’m [...]

Bill Leinenkugel, who ran the Leinenkugel Brewing Company for many years and whose sons continue to run the brewery, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. He was 87 years old. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
We’ve had a full 24 hours now to wallow in shame and despair following Green Bay’s loss to the Cowboys Sunday night, so now it’s time to pick up the pieces and start anew. The Packers game against Tampa this weekend offers a chance to get back on track with a road win against a [...]

The Packers might be 2-1 in the official NFL standings, but we’re still unbeaten in the fight against hunger. Green & Gold fans have outnumbered the opposition three weeks running in the Chunky soup Click for Cans contest that aids local food banks, and Green Bay is the only unbeaten team in the NFC. There’s [...]
There is no official word yet from the Green Bay Packers about Al Harris, but the unofficial “first hand” news from Michael Lombardi at The National Football Post is the veteran cornerback suffered a ruptured spleen in Sunday night’s game against the Cowboys. This obviously would be the end of the season for Al — [...]
